What's That Burning?...

As for the title of the post, I had to snap a picture for my brother back home. The drive to Ivankiv is very scenic. On either side of the road, you will see the fields on fire. Yeah, it's not the best picture. If you think the drivers here drive crazy in the cities, you should try driving on the open road with nothing in the way. It's hard to focus when your driving over the bumpiest roads imaginable at 120 kilometers per hour! Hint: it's easier to never look forward while driving!

Yes, we called our facilitator our personal Nascar driver. He drove us from Kiev to our present city - 6 hours of it. He is a good drive but it felt like an airplane ride with a lot of turbulence... ha ha. :)

You can only drive 120km/hr over bumpy roads that actually have concrete/blacktop on them. Try driving around potholes as big as the road itself. That's a real Ukrainian adventure. Had to visit my chiropractor as soon as I got back.

Wishing you Godspeed in getting the last few bits of paperwork done after your wait, so you can bring your kids home asap.

Our driver Sasha needed to drive 180 kilometers an hour on the airport road to Kiev. Calculateme.com says that we were doing 111.8468146027201 Miles per Hour! I always felt as though we were late for something when riding in that car!

Glad to see that it is the same in Ukraine as in Russia. Pure craziness!
