First Day...

Just a quick post. The first day of summer school went over without a hitch! Yeah! The kids did sooooo great and their teachers gave them praises for their behavior. I have to admit, moma was a little apprehensive this morning. I was late to work getting them dressed, fed, and the day outlined for them. We went over some behaviors last night and tried telling them what to expect, like putting toliet paper in the toliet as there would be no trashcans for them at school to put it in and to always go to the big person (i.e. teacher) if they have a problem. I am so excited for them. They raved about school and can't wait to go back tomorrow. Yeah!

Here is a photo papa snapped after dropping them off this morning.

My, how the time flys. Tomorrow makes a full month that we have been home. These kids have grown so very much in that time. They have accomplished so much and experienced so many things. Only 6 short weeks ago they were in Ivankiv, Ukraine, still "orphans". Meeting these two Americans who wanted to be their mommy and daddy after years without that love and attention. Can you even grasp the changes that their lives have underwent, the thoughts that they have had, and the trust and faith they have had to place in all these complete strangers that are now their family?!

Thank you, dear Lord, for bringing them into our lives! We have been enriched beyond belief and marvel at Your powers!! Thank You, Thank You!!

So glad to hear that their first day went so well! I cannot believe you've been home a month...where does the time go?

Let's do lunch this week!

Ok, so I have to laugh with you over the toilet paper in the toilet vs. the trashcan thing! With four children who are not quite" getting it" yet leaves an overflowing smelly bathroom really quick! Ha ha! One day at a time! So glad your kids' first day went well! May their summer be full of good days!
