Get With The Rhythm...

Finally, some consistency. As we enter our 4th week of school (can you believe it), the kids are getting the "rhythm" of things. They know that Monday means Spelling Words and Tuesday are Reading story days. This, in turn, means homework isn't as overwhelming. Last night we actually finished by 6:30. I have found that spreading out the homework over the weekend (I know, homework on a Saturday) actually gives the kids more time to get accustomed with their reading words and lessens the load at the begining of the week. The kids don't seem to mind if we read the story Saturday morning and THEN go out and play. This also allows for a more structured week for the kids which is a Win, Win for everyone. Less tantrums and tears, and more bonding time.

The weather has been unbelievable here the past two weeks with temps in the 80's!! We have been able to enjoy evenings outside instead of fussing over who is going to watch what on the tv (rolling the eyes here).

Aizley has to have her fix of Disney every once in a while (whenever Moma lets her, that is).


Colton is now fascinated by the lawn mower. Boys and their machines!




The boys had a father son bonding day last Friday as they went to Nashville to watch a Sounds baseball game. Sorry, no pics. Papa is embarrassed by carrying the camera everywhere. Colton had a great time and is so interested in playing now. Aizley and I had a ladies night out while the boys were gone. We had "steak" dinners and went to the movies. It was great being able to enjoy each other without any distractions, however Aizley had made it clear she gets to go next time to the game with Papa!! I love a lady that knows what she wants!
