Guess what? We are still waiting for word from the Ukrainian government (SDA) about our dossier status. All our paperwork is overseas and has been translated. However, the system is currently "frozen" because of some candidates that turned in false dossiers or fake information. Being that there is a new director of the SDA, she thought it best for the children to close adoptions until she can investigate if any problems are present with the current system. It's in the childrens best interest; but for the prospective parents awaiting approval to travel abroad, it's heartbreaking. We are still hopefull that we may get to travel closer to the holidays to get our child. Either that, or we will have to wait until the 2009 adoptive "season" to get our child(ren). The moment we get approval, everyone will be able to hear our screams of excitment from miles away.
