Two Months Home...

Hey guys. Two months home already. Wow. Things are still rollin' along for the Turner kids. They are enjoying more firsts and really doing well. We have to take a moment and brag on the kids' success. We are doing more than we ever thought we would be able to do this summer. Enjoying more social events and stimulating activities than we ever thought possible. We still try to "ease" the kids into these situations, preparing them in advance for what's to come next. Having calendars in each of their rooms where they know what is to be expected everyday has been ideal for them. We still have boughts of "fussines" and grumpy attitudes, but both Moma and Papa along with the kids are learning how to deal with these moments.

Our friends and family have been so supportive of us and our decision to adopt. They have welcomed the kids with open arms. Last Sunday, our awesome church family welcomed Aizley and Colton with an "ice cream social". It was a wonderful idea that allowed those who wanted to to approach the kids, meet them, and ask us any questions that they might have. The kids did wonderfully interacting with others. Just look at them go to town on the ice cream!

We were also very blessed by the "money tree" donations taken on their behalf. The church raised a tremendous amount of money for the kids, much more than we would have ever thought. Thanks soooo very much!!! They both have their own savings accounts started. It's never too early to think about college.

Vacation Bible School also started Monday. The kids really enjoy going to "church school". Yeah. They are doing so much better interacting with other kids. Hopefully, this is one mildstone underway.

We have been enjoying the cooler evening weather hanging out outside, seeing what fun we can find. The corn growing beside the house had made for many fun events. When cars drive by, the kids run to the corn field and squat down so that the cars can't see them. I actually started this one playing hide and go seek with them one day when the corn was a little shorter.

Another game brought on by the corn is "mummy" or some thing to that effect. Colton acts like he is a zombie and tries chasing Aizley through the field with the dogs on his tail. He scares my a little, the goofball!!

Here's Aizley after chasing Elvis, the dog. We call him Wiggles sometimes because when he tries to shake his tail, his whole backend moves from side to side. Crazy dog!

Just chillin' after a day of playing...

I can't believe how much these kids have grown in the past two months. I look back on their pictures from the orphanage and the first time we met them with tears in my eyes. They are absolutely beautiful!! Their personalities have blossomed and you can just see the happiness radiating off their faces. We love you, Aizley and Colton!! Welcome Home!
