Holiday Wrap Up...

Wow!! What a memorable past two weeks! Both Bob and I were able to take off work for the two weeks the kids were out of school. We made the absolute most of our holiday and packed it full of as many traditions and blessings as we could. This was the best Holiday ever for us all, tons of food, family everywhere, and of course our little ones graceing our lives with warmth and their love. We really can't express all the magical moments and memories we had during our first holiday as a family of four, but I'll try...

We began by opening presents on Christmas Eve at Babushka's house. The kids were so thankful for all their gifts and enjoyed playing "santa" more than actually opening their own gifts.

That night we laid out extra cookies for Santa before reading the "Night Before Christmas" and heading to bed. It paid off for the kids because Santa felt extra giving. I know, I've probably started something I shouldn't have but, hey, they are only young once!

Unwrapping presents was magical for the kids. We made them open most of their gifts one at a time so we could really enjoy the experience. We had a blast!!

The party still wasn't over. That night, we went to Nana's house for more food and more gifts. They couldn't wait to play with all their neat stuff.



We spent the rest of the time playing with all the toys. I've played Barbie and Spiderman so very much. Not to mention the card games they got. We have had a great two weeks with just family. We took turns cooking and doing one on one things. Really, it was just what we all needed. The kids got the attention from us they often crave and we were able to focus completly on them which we felt we were missing out on. It was a wonderful holiday. We stayed up playing games on New Year's Eve and watched the ball drop while drinking hot cocoa and telling about our resolutions for the New Year. They all seemed to revolve around family.
