"Christmas Shrektacular..."

Over the weekend, we decided to enjoy a day out.  We are rocking in Christmas preparations, having wrapped all presents and hung every decoration possible.  Even Santa has finished the biggest part of his work completed!!  In the mood of trying to spice up the holiday and bring some excitement back to the season, we joined Babushka and Dedushka for a day at the Opryland Hotel.

The hotel is extremely magnificent since all the renovations from last year's flood in the Nashville area.  There were several mini trails to follow with surprises around every corner.  One such surprise was the holiday merry-go-round.  Both kids had to have a moose!

I think the biggest surprise was the Shrektacular taking place in the atrium.  Several of the Dreamworks characters where there to participate in the program like the Penguins of Madagascar... 

And the current favorite, Po the Dragon Warrior...

 And of course Shrek...

Top the day off with a stop at Ponderosa Steakhouse and you've got yourself two extremely please kiddos. 

Just enjoying it while we can....
