I hope everyone had a good 4th celebration. As you would have guessed from the title, we had to postpone our celebration. A month of no rain and temps in the 100's for the past 8 days forced us to wait until the weekend. Luckily, I had frozen the ribs so no worrying about the massive amounts of food needing to be cooked. As luck would have it, a rain storm quickly blew threw Thursday night. With a partially damp ground, we were ready to roll.
We got a late start to the festivities beginning around 7 pm. So the lack of time cut back on our games, but we were able to squeeze in a few fun things. We began with a balloon pop. Followed by a shaving cream war...
and what better way to get clean from a shaving cream war than to have a water balloon fight...
After changing into dry clothes and having a bowl of Peach homemade ice cream, it was onto the Fireworks.
We rounded out the night with a midnight jump-a-thon on the trampoline.
Short but sweet. We had a great time with family and the food was amazing. Despite the extreme heat, we had a wonderful time!!
